    Controls Engineer - Electrical Design and Project Management

    The Controls Engineer role involves the design of electrical schematics and layout drawings for industrial control panels using AutoCAD Electrical.

    You will also provide proposals for turnkey projects and build-to-print projects, generating labor and material estimates.

    As a Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and quality in the design and execution of control systems.

    What You'll Do:

    • Create precise drawings (in accordance with NEC and UL guidelines) with bill of materials (BOM), layout drawings, terminal block layouts, and electrical schematics based on customer specifications.
    • Review and approve customer-provided drawings to ensure UL508A conformance.
    • Collaborate on design changes and component modifications to achieve UL508A Approval.
    • Generate enclosure nameplates, fuse charts, and maintain comprehensive UL 508A records.
    • Provide technical support to multiple shop technicians.
    • Inspect and test final products according to drawings.
    • Assist customers during field acceptance test (FAT) inspections.
    • Contribute to project management activities throughout the project lifecycle.

    What You'll Need:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Knowledge and experience with Rockwell Automation (Allen Bradley), Bussmann (EATON), Hoffman, and Panduit products is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
    • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant work experience involving electrical schematics and layout drawings for industrial control panels.
