    Job Description

    RockCreek seeks a dynamic, resourceful, detail-oriented, and energetic professional to be the Communications Associate.  The ideal candidate for this role is a team player, problem-solver with a firm comprehension of which content performs best including digital channels. The ideal candidate is well-organized, flexible, able to anticipate change, and up to date on current financial markets and business issues with a passion for impact and sustainable investing. It is critical that the candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The candidate must be a team player who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and adapts to demanding and ever-changing situations.

    All candidates should have a strong background and demonstrated interest in global financial markets, sustainable investing, economic news, and business honed through study, work, and time spent abroad. 5+ years communication experience. Proficiency in at least one foreign language and WordPress is preferred. An interest in economics, finance, markets, and impact is preferred.

    • Manage media relations and maximize media opportunities and have networks
    • Responsible for the firm’s social media presence, including Twitter, blogs and RockCreek’s internal and external website
    • Develop branding initiatives, internal communications, and external media relations
    • Develop strategies to deliver RockCreek content to relevant targets including social media
    • Preparing briefing notes ahead of media appearances and interviews
    • Helping write social media, website, and blog content
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Office365, PowerPoint, Excel) and WordPress
    • Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
    • High level of proficiency with social media platforms and channels
    • Enthusiasm for digital media trends and clear understanding of digital audiences
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • Work with Investment Team to create, review, and edit letters, and communications
    • Develop internal publications such as newsletters, due diligence notes, email announcements, planned publications, on-line, video, special projects, and assignments
    • Edit documents such as RFPs and presentations
    • Work with different teams to generate new ideas and strategies
    • Ensure that all opportunities are fully vetted
    • Manage projects to ensure all content is publication-ready
    • Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented culture with an ability to take charge and manage projects under time deadlines and flexible hours as well as ability to work independently while taking ownership
