    This generalist role will report to the Head of Legal Operations and be encouraged to innovate and build upon current processes, while working closely with Palo Alto Networks’s Legal leadership team. This is the perfect opportunity for a professional with 3+ years experience to gain valuable legal operations experience and drive decisions at a fast-paced cyber security company. This role will be located in Santa Clara, California.

    YOUR IMPACT

    • Lead and project manage short-term and long-term projects with growing independence. Examples of technical projects include technology implementation and workflow updates in collaboration with IT and Service Now. Examples of operational projects include developing  processes related to privacy and data security and legacy contract review and data mapping. 

    • Discover opportunities to improve processes, determine best practices, and increase efficiency within the Legal department’s organizational processes, systems, and technologies.

    • Serve as the subject matter expert on the legal departments’ processes by responding to questions, following up on open issues, and performing trainings as needed.

    • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights to provide business recommendations to the leadership team in a simple, clear and compelling manner.

    • Act as the gatekeeper for all incoming Legal requests by resolving inquiries and assigning to the designed point of contact.

    • Design, implement, and/or manage new and existing legal systems that include contract management, ebilling, ediscovery, legal hold, matter management, workflow automation and various collaboration tools. 

    • Interact and collaborate with key Legal and other stakeholders to understand their challenges and expansion plans to ideate and execute solutions that will improve the day-to-day productivity.

    • Keep up to date on current Legal Operation trends.

    YOUR EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • 3+ years of experience in a similar or relevant role (legal operations, business operations, contract management, project management, etc.)

    • Experience implementing new legal systems or leading tech related projects is a plus. 

    • Works well cross-functionally with professionals in Legal, Finance, IT, Sales, Marketing, HR, and Finance 

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, business judgment, strategic thinking, superior work ethic, flexibility and ability to work independently

    • Strong business mindset for approaching problems and have experience developing data driven insights and formulating business metrics and KPIS to evaluate business performance

    • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks quickly, accurately, and efficiently in a fast paced environment and under deadline pressure

    • Sense of humor is always a plus and commitment to professionalism is expected

    • Familiar with Google Suite ( including Sheets, Docs, Forms, Gmail, Slides) 

    • Experience with Apttus, Salesforce, DocuSign, ThinkSmart, Jive Software, knak., IPfolio, SimpleLegal, Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence), Slack is a plus.
