    We are looking for a full-time real estate accountant to join our expanding team! You'll be responsible for keeping our financial records organized, including tracking accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring that each account is reconciled correctly. Responsibilities: Prepare for quarterly reporting using standard best practices and assist in monthly closings Prepare detailed reconciliations for each account to ensure every transaction is accounted for Adapt to the needs of the real estate team to complete other accounting tasks when necessary Produce regular journal entries to post to the general ledger Review accounts payable and receivable everyday to make sure invoices and expense reports are accurate THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES: • Excellent data entry skills • Excellent degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Ability to work in multiple accounting systems • Excellent verbal and written communication • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to manage multiple tasks • Strong organizational and time management skills THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE ABLE TO: • Process AP/AR transactions for tenants, owners, and vendors in AppFolio Accounting software • Research, reconcile and address vendor inquiries • Set up and maintain vendor accounts and files • Record cash receipts and make bank deposits • Compile and record general ledger journal entries • Maintain and reconcile multiple company general ledgers on a monthly basis • Maintain and reconcile various financial spreadsheets Qualifications: Understands basic rules of GAAP Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred A background in accounting or finance is valuable, but not required Has strong abilities in communication, both in writing and by phone • Must have 2-4 years of Property Management bookkeeping experience • Experience with Appfolio software is a plus • Solid understanding of general ledger bookkeeping principles Compensation: $15-$20 hourly
