    Position Title:  Superintendent (two positions available)

    Reports to: CEO

    At a Glance….

    Superintendent is responsible for on-site coordination for all phases of Roadway Specialties construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

    Responsibilities

    • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in a critical path to ensure timely completion.

    • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

    • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

    • Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.

    • Maintain a written daily log of activities on the jobsite.

    • Walk all units on the project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.

    • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.

    • Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling.

    • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of three years of verifiable experience, thorough knowledge of trades and be computer literate. Experience in the construction industry is preferred.

    • Knowledge of job costing and payroll software HCSS Heavy Job

    • Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate persons with an alternate plan.

    • Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

    • Must pass a drug test and have a clean driving record for a minimum of 10 years.

    • Must be able to travel to job sites as assigned and will be required 2 - 3 nights in a hotel (2 or 3 times a year)
