    Case Manager/Legal Assistant The Schafer Law Office is looking for someone to join our family and team as a Case Manager. Responsibilities: Work closely with Michael A. Schafer and all members of The Schafer Law Office team to develop cases from the initial client meeting through settlement. Duties include but are not limited to: • Review Files • Order medical records and itemized billing, make follow up calls and document receipt • Review and summarize medical records • Prepare settlement brochures • Daily contact with clients including case updates • Communicate with insurance adjusters • Answer phones and greet clients • Set up new client file and close files upon settlement • Occasionally meet with a potential new client and facilitate a client intake • Handle various property/vehicle claims Qualifications: • Full-time Case Manager position for personal injury law firm (8:30-5:00, Monday-Friday) • Energetic and self-motivated • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment • Excellent communication and writing skills • Must be punctual • Excellent time management • Open-minded to learning new tasks, procedures, and duties • Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Professional demeanor and presentation of self • Ability and willingness to help others Extras (not required….but you’ll go right to the top of our candidate list if you have): • Experience using Demand Expert • Experience using case management software such as ABACUS or Case Peer • Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records • Experience with Microsoft Excel • Experience in the auto or health insurance industry • Experience in the medical field • Experience in a law office Compensation: $16 - $20 hourly
