    Summary

    The Kitchen Production Pastry Cook 1 will assist the Culinary Managers with navigating day to day operations to produce consistent, safe, quality edibles, and will be responsible for setting up, producing, quality checking, and cleaning for the culinary department. There may be times where the Kitchen Production will assist with Edibles packaging, casing and compliance labeling of cannabis infused products. Communication, attention to detail, and time management are critical to the success of our kitchen operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintains an organized and sanitary work area, including all equipment and material; wears appropriate PPE when performing tasks
    • Maintains a safe work environment, actively contributing to continuous improvements
    • Understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen.
    • Ability to accurately follow recipes and measurements.
    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations through guidance from a supervisor
    • Completes daily cleaning sanitation tasks, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the work day
    • Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with standard operating procedures with proper assistance
    • Maintain communication with managers
    • Maintain relevant training as new products are introduced
    • Document production by completing forms, equipment logs, sanitation checklists and batch records
    • Assist management in processing and testing of products, processes, and procedures
    • Assisting in packaging of edible products, including weighing, measuring, labeling, and packing units into boxes, tins, etc.
    • Comply with all applicable government regulations and company policies and procedures, including sanitation, security, workplace safety, and confidentiality

    Physical Demands

    • Must be able to lift as much as 50 pounds occasionally
    • Must be able to carry, bend, stand, file documents, lift, and push/pull as needed

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

    Required Qualifications

    • Must be 21 years of age
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Must obtain Cannabis Production Agent Card
    • Must obtain ServSafe Certification
    • Must obtain SNHD Food Handler's Card
    • Attention to detail, ability to maintain focus, and strong organizational skills
    • Ability to remain professional and positive in the work environment
    • Requires the ability to stand, kneel, sit or stoop for prolonged periods of time, with constant attention to detail for 8 hours per day.
    • Ability to stand on feet for long hours
    • Ability to wear required PPE for duration of shift.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 Certified
    • Previous experience in a production scale kitchen or a licensed cannabis production facility, not required but a bonus
    • Verbal Communication, Written Communication and Basic Mathematics
    • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
