    The Source is a multi-state medical cannabis company. Our mission is to support medical cannabis patient healthcare needs in a compassionate and welcoming environment. Not only do we offer access to high-quality, affordable products; we are also cannabis experts. Founded in August 2019 in Northwest Arkansas, we’ve blazed new trails in the last year, opening 3 additional dispensary locations as well as a cultivation facility in Missouri.

    Indoor Cultivation Support?

    A good question. Thank you for asking. What that means is you’ll be performing a wide range of duties that ensure the healthy and productive growth of our cannabis plants. We will train you to be a skilled cultivator, no experience necessary, however, applicant must be able to work hard and be reliable. We strive to operate a very orderly and organized manner and first and foremost looking for individuals who will follow instructions well and complete their assigned tasks with a high level of quality and thoroughness.

    How We Roll:

    Our Indoor Cultivation Support has a very special place in the Show-Me state. We’re looking for someone who has the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

    • Help with the day to day operations of a newly licensed cultivation facility such as watering, trimming, pruning, pest inspections, harvesting, mixing soil, staking, trellis netting, monitoring irrigation equipment, and toping off fertilizer batch tanks etc.
    • Spray pesticides.
    • Taking clones, transplanting, up-potting, defoliating, performing inspections on plants and observing bugs under a microscope.
    • Weigh, package, label, record/track medical cannabis for distribution.
    • Assist and maintain the health of plants in all stages of growth including curation vegetation and flowering in the cultivation facility.
    • Ability to identify and treat any problems including but not limited to: pest and/or pathogens, improper fertilization and/or watering and environmental stresses.
    • Perform the daily scheduled activities in given grow areas to meet daily productivity goals.
    • Conduct intensive cleaning of equipment and general work areas.
    • Assist in receiving, inventory management and stocking materials.
    • Complete proper documentation and tracking of all activities necessary to be in accordance with all company, state and local requirements.
    • Ability to follow directions, perform duties with a positive attitude, take feedback and learn new tasks.
    • Understand all processes and practices as they related to the proper care and health of all plants from the time of propagation through the transfer of plants to flowering rooms.
    • Understanding of all room equipment and supplies including but not limited to: HVAC, dehumidification, lighting equipment and irrigation systems.
    • Plant and canopy maintenance: follow sanitary and precise cloning procedures, focused and expedient whole room defoliation, trellising, pruning and other direct plant care procedures.
    • Accurately follow plant inventory tracking procedures in the state mandated tracking system, METRC.
    • Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Use and maintain personal protective equipment.
    • Ability to follow directions, perform duties with a positive attitude, take feedback and learn new tasks.
    • Performs other duties as needed.

    What Lights Our Fire:

    We don’t want to bowl you over with expectations, but you’ll need the following to be considered for our team:

    • High School diploma, or equivalent.
    • Previous experience in a grow facility or similar agricultural field preferred but not required.
    • Basic math skills.
    • Work history that included a combination of manual labor, critical thinking, and problem solving is highly preferred.
    • Must have effective and conscience communication skills, be detailed oriented and take 100% responsibility for the quality and consistency of work output.
    • Must be able to maintain face paced performance of manual labor tasks which also require attention to detail to maintain product quality, efficient operations and strict compliance with local and state regulations.
    • Must have transportation to and from work. Consistency and reliability a must.
    • Ability to adapt to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities.
    • Ability to work well with a team and take direction from various department leaders.
    • Ability to work well under pressure.
    • Ability to work on your feet for 8-10 hours a day.
    • Ability to work in crouched or uncomfortable positions including repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
    • Must be able to work overtime, nights and weekends as needed.
    • Complete discretion and confidentiality are always required of this position.

    A Few Extra Nugs of Information:

    • This position is based in Joplin, MO.
    • This position works on a Wednesday to Monday schedule.
    • This position pays $15 per hour with opportunities for merit increase on an annual basis, based on performance.
    • Due to state regulations, applicants for this position must be able to pass a background check. Certain criminal convictions may disqualify candidates based on state medical marijuana licensing regulations.
    • Applicants must also be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
    • Benefits eligibility the first day of the month after 60 days of full time employment, including medical, vision and 401k.
