    The Sparks Company is a small family company located in San Diego, CA and we believe that we are here to make the world a better place for future generations. We are made of three divisions, MacRebur Southern California, GuardTop Express Vista, and Sparks Equipment Leasing. Our sister company is Ocean Paving & Sealing, which we work closely with and help manage on a daily basis. Our team is proud to be among the first to introduce plastic asphalt roads in the US. Our sister company is a highly respected paving crew throughout San Diego County, and we’re also very excited to join GuardTop in providing San Diego’s North County sealcoat needs.     OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR POSITION

    We are seeking an Office Administrator who will manage operations and office related needs in order to contribute to a positive employee experience, employee productivity, as well as efficient and cost-effective office operations. Including but not limited to Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, and Sales.

    Work hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Office Management:

    · Serve as the first point of contact for employees, clients, business associates, vendors, and others who conduct business with the company.

    · Greet visitors, identify the purpose of the visit, and connect the visitor with the appropriate internal contact.

    · Send and accept deliveries made by outside parties in accordance with company policy. Ensure the delivery reaches the recipient in a timely manner.

    · Complete administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and email correspondence.

    · Keep office area, conference room, and kitchen area clean.

    · Perform administrative tasks as assigned by the CEO and CFO to include documents produced in Microsoft Office and Adobe software.

    · Manage team calendars and schedule meetings.

    Accounting:

    · Perform accounting tasks including AR, AP, and Billing.

    · Process Payroll in ADP.

    · Weekly check deposit runs.

    Human Resources:

    · Perform Human Resources tasks, including but not limited to:

    o Hiring

    o Interviews

    o Insurance

    o Timesheets

    o Vacation/Sick Logs

    Marketing & Sales:

    · Assist CEO & CFO in documenting marketing activities.

    · Update and maintain social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and website on a regular basis.

    · Support sales staff and paving crew.

    SKILLS

    Problem solving, excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, flexibility, cost consciousness, good ethics, adaptability, good planning and organizational skills, multi-tasking, prioritizing, production and quality control of work.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education / Experience:

    · College degree required.

    · 3+ years related office administration / billing experience required.

    Computer/Software Skills:

    · Must have working skills with the following programs: QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneDrive), Adobe Acrobat.

    · Knowledge of processing payroll in ADP.

    · Knowledge of inputting invoices into QuickBooks Online.

    · Knowledge of paying vendors via QuickBooks Online.

    COMPENSATION

    · Pay commensurate with experience.

    · $20-$25/hr during the 60 day probationary period, salaried after probationary period ends.
