    Public Relations Account Manager

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Builds and maintains productive client relationships
    • Helps develop workable budgets and plans
    • Monitors news and social content relevant to assigned client, makes information available to teams and helps assess risks or opportunities for said clients
    • Understanding of analytics tools, publishing platforms and social monitoring tools
    • Collaborates on media/influencer strategy and helps create target lists for assigned clients and projects
    • Communicates with media and influencers to sell story ideas or brand engagements
    • Monitors and maintains news and other published content for assigned clients
    • Builds and maintains relationships with key media and influencers
    • Conceptualizes, writes and distributes content for clients including thought leadership, guest columns, op-eds and other long form content

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience required
    • Minimum 2 or more years of related experience and/or training
    • Excellent communication and persuasion skills, both written and oral
    • Ability to work autonomously and take the lead on projects
    • Impeccable attention to detail
    • Creative problem solver with strong critical thinking skills to manage the unknown
    • Experience in pitching national, regional and local news media and securing interviews and coverage for clients
    • Genuine interest in emerging technology, pop culture, internet trends and staying on top of content distribution channels, ad formats and paid media trends
    • Deep knowledge of all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube etc), their technical requirements and best practices
    • Experience with retail or food and beverage clients preferred
