    MEDIA BUYING SUPERVISOR

    We are on the hunt for an experienced media buyer who thrives on bringing creative media ideas to life. We're looking for an excellent negotiator with proven experience across traditional, digital and experiential media. If you're a big idea thinker who revels in collaboration, let's talk.

    Specifications

    • Designs optimum media buys and partnerships in terms of cost efficiency, goal delivery and vendor agreements.
    • Negotiates and purchases channels including TV (including direct response), radio, newspapers, outdoor, magazines, online media (programmatic, ad networks, and publisher direct) and paid social for accounts within an assigned group of markets.
    • Designs activation plans to bring creative ideas to life.
    • Actively monitors buys in progress by spot checking placement and negotiating credit or billing adjustments when necessary, while documenting all negotiations, makegoods and credits.
    • Works alongside analytics team members to create client performance dashboards and is integral in presentations to clients on an ongoing basis.
    • Establishes relationships and leads all communication with media representatives, including setting up meetings with appropriate internal team members.
    • Identifies opportunities to be a thought-leader for clients and prospects, whether through proactive development of content or client recommendations.
    • Assists in training all media buying new hires on the overall job function as well as use of tools and resources, such as Strata.
    • Tracks media expenditures to ensure agency and client budget compliance.
    • Collaborates with clients and media team members to resolve media billing issues.
    • Helps evaluate current buying resources and proactively brings proposal to leadership team for any additional tools needed to stay on top of current trends and to ensure we are delivering valuable reports to our clients.
    • Helps with new business opportunities (as needed).

    Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree required.
    • 5-10 years of Media Buying experience required.
    • Strong mathematical and negotiation abilities required.
    • Must be a creative thinker, with proven track record of bringing ideas to life

    Requirements

    • Collaborate with media planners and other members of the media team to bring forward innovative, effective solutions for clients.
    • Brings a collaborative, team-player mentality, displaying a willingness to jump in and support team members in other areas, as needed.
    • Must foster a strong partnership with the agency finance team.
    • Keep track of changes and trends in the ever-changing media environment.
    • Ability to clearly articulate a POV around optimal approaches to media buying and seamless executions in alignment with client & agency objectives.
    • Ability to present to and educate clients on media buying principles, tactics and strategies on varying levels based on client knowledge and needs.
    • Contribute to the establishment of best practices around media buying strategies and analysis for clients.
    • Collect and share best practices and learnings across agency client base.
    • Responsible for a set of media buying initiatives within the Media Department. Typically, this includes having a broad understanding industry/category knowledge, market planning, campaign implementation/execution, performance tracking and analysis and various associated projects.
    • Work with clients to better integrate all media types, sponsorships, promotions, etc. to ensure optimal timing, consistent messaging, and superior customer experience.
    • Ability to grow and develop a team of media buyers.
    • Ability to lead the campaign life cycle from execution to the management of analytics, optimization and reporting.
    • Evolve world-class media buying practice, leveraging third-party data and technologies.
    • Educate internal teams about media execution realities and possibilities.
