    Job Description

    GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS!

    This position is critical to the comfort and satisfaction of our residents. Responsibilities include assisting the caregivers in providing prompt, friendly, and professional service which meets the needs of our residents.  Services should be delivered in a caring manner, which maximizes the resident’s independence, choices, dignity, privacy, and individuality. 

    1. Supports residents with completions of activities of daily living such as: wake up calls, dog walking, etc.
    2. Supports resident activity participation by assisting residents to/from activities, encouraging participation, and assisting activities when asked.
    3. Social engagement and activities with residents in the common area of Footsteps (This helps provide interaction and basic supervision with residents while caregivers are providing care in resident apartments.) 
    4. Check-ins with residents
    5. Performs housekeeping duties such as; bedmaking, taking out resident garbage, laundry, and other light cleaning tasks
    6. Performs food service responsibilities, including but not limited to serving meals, delivering meals trays to apartments, bussing tables, cleaning the dining room after meals, and setting tables. 
    7. Escorting residents to the dining room ad to activities.

    Due to the limited training and age requirements a Caregiver Assistant will not be asked to do any of the following:

    1. Assisting residents with dressing
    2. Assisting residents with toileting, showering, shaving, or oral care
    3. Medication management
    4. Transferring or Lifting

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Love for seniors!     
    • Willingness to learn
    • Maintain current CPR and first aid certification (training provided)
    • AL & MC regulations knowledge (training provided)
    • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments
