    Job Summary The Barber role requires a deeply passionate, discerning, and dedicated technician that can perform at the highest level. The ability to maintain an atmosphere of exclusivity, luxury, and impeccable standards is a must. From a technical standpoint, the Barber will have the ability to provide guests with flawless, comprehensive, and professional hair and shaving services. Must have the ability to perform all services while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. Dependability and schedule flexibility are a must.

    Responsibilities

    Understand and abide by DLC and salon policies and procedures.

    Provide guests with a thorough and knowledgeable Barber service.

    Provide guests with a tour of facilities, when needed.

    Interact cooperatively and with consideration to guests and co-workers.

    Deliver anticipatory service regarding guest needs and adhere to spa and DLC standards for guest service, including FORBES 5-Star Standards.

    Communicates all guest issues or complaints to the Spa Manager on Duty.

    Consistently maintain safety, sanitation, and disinfection standards in compliance with, or exceeding, State Governing Boards and DLC SOPs and guidelines.

    Properly track and maintain all stock levels, products, rooms, tools, equipment, and visual presentation in all guest spaces.

    Adheres to service regulations as provided under their licensure in the issuing State.

    Obtain guest intake forms, consent forms, and other documentation.

    Establish rapport with clients.

    Educate guests regarding procedures and products that can complement the treatment.

    Hold a high level of professionalism, discretion, respect, and empathy when interacting with clients and members of staff.

    Complete training and competencies, both initial and ongoing, as required.

    Maintain and enhance skills to deliver to our client’s high expectations and standards.

    Actively promote the Wellness Program, treatments, retail, and available promotions.

    Maintain compliance with all State and Federal regulations including employee health and safety protections mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

    Attends all in-house training, meetings, and appropriate continuing education courses.

    Participates, as requested, with marketing/special event planning and execution.

    Adhere to work schedule and have a good work ethic.

    Qualifications

    Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.

    Must have current State Issued Barbers License and be in good standing with the issuing Board.

    Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.

    Must have at least 1-3 years’ experience in a Barber position, preferably in a FORBES 4- or 5-star rated facility.

    Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

    Exceptional knowledge of salon operating guidelines and technical procedures.

    Must have a flexible schedule, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends, and must be available on an “On-Call” basis, if needed.

    Must be polished, professional, and have a strong command of both written and verbal English.

    Must be organized, timely and detailed-oriented.

    Basic Computer software skills.

    Must be current in all CEUs as required by your licensing state.
