_WE ARE SEEKING A SUBSTITUTE FOR A SHORT-TERM ASSIGNMENT WITH FULL-TIME HOURS WORKING IN A MONTESSORI EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOM (AGES 3-6 YEARS OLD).  THIS POSITION WILL LAST FOR THREE MONTHS WITH THE POTENTIAL TO BE EXTENDED. _

As a short-term substitute you will be responsible for:

• Management and care for the classroom
• Providing a safe, steady, and clean environment for each child to grow and thrive in their education
• Working and collaborating on a team with at least one Lead, Montessori Teacher, as well as other Associate Teachers, and educational professionals
• Fostering healthy relationships with parents and caretakers, all in pursuit of nurturing a love of learning in each child
• If Montessori Certified – present lessons according to observations and training

MORE ABOUT THE ASSOCIATE TEACHER POSITION:

• CREDENTIALS: Montessori Credential (AMS, AMI, MEPI) and/or bachelor's degree preferred, High School Diploma and prior experience working with young children in a classroom environment required.
• SCHOOL CALENDAR: We are a year-round school program, open 12 months out of the year.  We have breaks scheduled in throughout the year to offer teachers rest and replenishment.
• WORK HOURS: We are a full-day preschool and are open from 7am-6pm each day. Substitutes routinely work the midday shifts, such as 8:30 to 5:30, or 8 AM to 5:00 PM.  Shifts are dependent on classroom needs.
• MULTI-AGE CLASSROOMS: Most of our classrooms are multi-aged with children learning a high level of independence.
