Our substitute teachers are a key part of our teaching teams, who work a flexible schedule.  Substitutes work alongside Suzuki faculty members to create and cultivate high quality learning experiences in a safe environment for infants, toddlers, preschool or Kindergarten aged students (birth through 6 years old). 

SUBSTITUTE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained, Montessori teachers;
• Stand in, as-scheduled, for full-time faculty as part of the teaching team while they are absent or for teacher breaks and/or planning periods;
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment;
• Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed.

SUBSTITUTE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED;
• 19 years of age or older (or 18 if enrolled in college);
• Interest in working with young children (infants through Kindergarten);
• Interest in working within the Montessori philosophy (no prior experience or knowledge necessary).

SUBSTITUTE BENEFITS

• Hourly wage between $17-18/hour
• Flexible schedule from week to week based on your availability and school needs;
