We’re seeking Lifeguard Instructors to conduct certification classes and lead staff in-service training at Christopher High School in Gilroy, CA. This position provides flexible hours, and competitive pay, and leadership opportunities.

The Swimming Swan, LLC is an official American Red Cross training provider. Equipment for certification courses is provided.

We are an E-Verify participating employer. Upon hire, applicants may be subject to a background check and/or drug test per facility requirements.

BONUSES:

50% Reimbursement for LGI Training and participation in our certification courses for all new hires following successful completion of a full season. (Memorial Day through Labor Day).

This position is primarily seasonal (Memorial Day - Labor Day 2024) with the potential to continue year-round pending demand.

Ideal applicants are self-motivated, have at least 1 year of LGI experience or taught a minimum or 3 classes, and have access to reliable transportation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age with a High school Diploma or equivalent.

Current and valid ARC or equivalent certification including but not limited to Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED.

Strong customer service background.

Current (or ability to obtain) ARC Lifeguard Instructor Certification required

3+ year(s) lifeguard experience required.

1+ years of lifeguard experience in a leadership role preferred.

Ability to pass pre-employment verbal, swim, and in-water skills tests.
