We’re seeking Lifeguard Instructors to conduct certification classes and lead staff in-service training in Palm Springs and Riverside County. Opportunities to work as a Private Event* Lifeguard or Head Lifeguard are also available. This position provides flexible hours, and competitive pay, and requires frequent travel to and from events.

*Private Events may consist of backyard pool parties, private rentals of a local pool/pool facility, corporate parties, and any other circumstance where lifeguards may be needed.

The Swimming Swan, LLC is an official American Red Cross training provider. Certification courses may be taught at partnership facilities in the greater Bay Area. Equipment for certification courses is provided.

We are an E-Verify participating employer. Upon hire, applicants may be subject to a background check and/or drug test per facility requirements.

BONUSES:

$150 NEW HIRE BONUSES & 50% Reimbursement for LG/LGI Training and participation in our certification courses for all new hires*.

Gas reimbursement (upon agreement) of $0.65 to the gallon.

This position is primarily seasonal (Memorial Day - Labor Day 2023) with the potential to continue year-round pending demand.

Ideal applicants are self-motivated, have at least 1 year of LGI experience or taught a minimum or 3 classes, and have access to reliable transportation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age with a High school Diploma or equivalent.

Current and valid ARC or equivalent certification including but not limited to Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED.

Strong customer service background.

Current (or ability to obtain) ARC Lifeguard Instructor Certification required

3+ year(s) lifeguard experience required.

1+ years of lifeguard experience in a leadership role preferred.

Ability to pass pre-employment verbal, swim, and in-water skills tests.
