Seeking a mid-level scientist or engineer with expertise in signal processing to work in our Columbia, MD office. In-Depth is executing several applied research and development programs to augment our Cortical Signal Processing algorithms to acoustically detect and/or classify a target in a complex noise field, as well as non-acoustic applications such as RF/RADAR and imaging/video. 

Looking for a candidate comfortable with independently conducting research to solve difficult problems and chasing new areas of research and development. 

The engineer will lead or participate in:

• Algorithm development to solve difficult acoustic detection and classification problems
• Execution of various signal modelling and simulation efforts
• Application, improvement, and testing of Cortical Signal Processing algorithms that acoustically detect and/or classify a target in a complex noise field
• Design, development, and test of numerous active and passive sonar acoustic signal processing solutions as well as associated data analysis algorithms
• Design, modeling, and development of acoustic sensors (desired, but not required)
• Execution of related non-acoustic signal processing efforts as required

 Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen
• BS/MS in Physics, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering
• 2+ years of related experience
• Ability to obtain an active DoD security clearance at SECRET
• Experience conducting signal processing algorithm development, or algorithm development in general

 Desired Qualification:

• PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Astronomy, or Electrical Engineering
