    The Talent Mine is recruiting for a Help Desk I professional with strong Windows and Customer Service skills for an immediate, contract to hire opportunity in the DT Seattle area. This is with a local non-profit focused on food, housing and wellness for under represented peoples facing a health crisis, and is true to their mission of serving others.  If you are the kind of socially conscientious IT professional that wants to find true meaning in their work, this is an ideal mission driven role to pursue!

    Overview:

    This position provides technical support and troubleshooting for technical issues, as well as installation and maintenance of software and end-user devices. In this role, you will perform a mix of direct, phone, and remote support for users.  The position is primarily located in our client's Seattle office and requires some travel to satellite offices in Western Washington, as needed. 

    A day in the life will include:

    - Responding to incoming user calls, tickets, emails, or drop-ins to solve IT issues
    - Triaging new tickets in their ticketing system, and escalating issues as needed
    - Supporting the overall health of various IT services including on-site VoIP phone
       system, Wi-Fi, and basic TCP/IP connectivity, printing, and network access
    - Ongoing project based work centered around remote connectivity for users, hardware 
       deployments, O/S maintenance and software updates
    - Creating and maintaining password resets on user accounts, as well as mobile phone
       and MDM administration

    Ideal Qualifications:

    - 3+ years of IT / Service Desk Experience, with strong experience in ticket workflow and queue management.
    -  Experience providing technical support to users of Windows desktop operating systems, Office365 and iOS/Android mobile devices (including phones and tablets).
    - CompTI A+ and/or Microsoft IT Support certifications preferred with similar higher ed degree in technology
    - A passion for user empathy, exceptional communication skills, judgement and joy in what you do!
