The Talent Mine is recruiting for a rockstar React Developer for an immediate FTE role. This position is with a video-streaming education tech startup enabling students and teachers to make more meaningful and productive connections. Overview:

Our client is hiring software engineers interested in research and development. They focus on building novel and useful features for deeply integrated video experiences with their customers. No matter the device or geographic location, their technology delivers a personal and interactive experience - connecting people and ideas in real time.

In this position, you’d be working on the flagship proof-of-concept application demonstrating their video platform's capabilities: a product that is freely available for educators and students to use. As a front-end developer you will help build new POC features for the product, fix bugs, and collaborate with the team to continually maintain and improve foundational codebases.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to front end projects, including writing new applications, developing libraries, and supporting legacy code

• Design solutions for scale and maintainability

• Integrate with monitoring pipelines

• Participate in code reviews

• Continuously work to improve the quality of the code base

• Work well both independently and in a team environment

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional React experience in a production environment. You have been using React in depth since the introduction of hooks in v16.8.0.

• 2+ years of programming experience with majority of technologies listed (or similar):

• TypeScript and JavaScript

• React with modern state management

• CSS/JSS/Sass

• REST APIs and websockets

• 2+ years of experience with cloud applications and service oriented architecture

• Experience in cross-collaborating with small development teams

• Understanding of the importance of monitoring, alerting, and instrumentation

Bonus points:

• You have experience working on a video conferencing or streaming project.

• You occasionally find yourself within close proximity to Austin, TX.
