    The Talent Mine is recruiting for a Sr. level Embedded C++ Engineer for a leader in the Agriculture Engineering industry. This is with a midwest based client that creates cutting edge embedded and application software used directly by farmers to increase yields, leverage GPS technology and make data driven decisions. If you are the kind of engineer that loves being "close to the metal" and own a project end to end, and be 100% remote, read on!

    Overview:

    The company is hiring due to consistent growth, both by revenue, headcount and application offerings. They are expanding their tools set and modernizing their code base for farmers to capitalize on application software to drive efficiency and ultimately, feed the world! You would be part of a cross-functional team of developers, testers, scrum masters and product managers building software products for embedded devices in a Linux environment. There will be opportunities to participate in training and personal development, as well as lead and participate in quarterly hackathons which further innovation for the company and its engineering teams

    Qualified candidates posses a majority of the following attributes and experiences:

    • 7+ years of professional software engineering expertise, with at least 3 in embedded development
    • 5+ years of solid C++ programming in a Linux environment
    • Full SDLC expertise; you delight in problem solving end to end solutions from design, development, test, implementation and support
    • Deliver high-quality working features within a sprint boundary
    • Bring thought and positive attitude leadership by demonstrating courage and openness in participating in retrospectives and code reviews, focusing on personal and team growth
    • You likely possess a BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or related scientific field

    Bonus Round:

    • Professional expertise in Python scripting and development
    • Knowledge of geospatial concepts, with strong foundations in algorithms and performance
    • Working knowledge of Agile software development methods preferred such as Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development
