    The Talent Mine is recruiting for a Manager of IoT / Firmware Systems for an immediate, FTE opportunity.  This is with a Seattle based, unicorn startup that has seen incredible growth based on a revolutionary product line that is battling climate change head on.  If you are the kind of engineering leader that wants to really make a different in the community, and believe in the product you are developing to help future generations, keep reading!

    Overview:

    The Manager, IoT & Firmware Systems will report to the Senior Engineering Manager - Hardware and will be responsible for developing our connected product architecture for our client's next generation product lines. This role is critical in shaping the IoT landscape and connectivity architecture across multiple channels. This role will also help set direction for firmware, hardware and IoT devices and applications.

    Your profile resembles the following:

      • 10+ years of professional engineering expertise, primarily around hardware and embedded devices.  You have architected and implemented end-to-end solutions for IoT and Mobile Services.
      • 5+ years of specific management expertise, you have led and built teams developing connected devices.
      • Have led an IoT and Mobile ecosystem engagement strategy.
      • Deep understanding of IoT connectivity and networking.
      • Proven technical liaison between multiple departments and stakeholders.
      • Have driven implementation of firmware development processes based on industry best practices for mass produced products.
      • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and / or related expertise
      • 8+ years of experience of hardware and firmware development & implementation in a highly technical and analytical role.
      • 8+ years of experience developing networked devices in consumer or commercial products.
      • A passion for leading a team's culture, vision and managing both up and down an organization.
