Our client, a leading Implementation Consulting firm is managing a project for one of their major clients in the FINANCIAL SERVICES Market in Irvine, CA.They are seeking a BUSINESS CONSULTANT with strengths in the EQUITIES & DERIVATIVES MARKET.Initial 6-month assignment—extendable.

Enterprise business system analyst to ensure that all INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR THE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT PROCESS including POSITIONS, SECURITY DATA, PRICING, RISK, ANALYTICS, CASH, NET ASSET VALUE (NAV), PERFORMANCE AND COMPLIANCE are ALIGNED BETWEEN CLIENTS AND WITHIN INTERNAL CLIENT SYSTEMS consistently, accurately and on a timely basis.

Demonstrates the ability to solve difficult business problems with effective solutions

Skills Required:

• Ability to put forth Point of View with recommendations, and get business and IT stakeholders buy-ins for decision making.
• STRONG WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF FIXED INCOME PRODUCTS (BONDS, MONEY MARKET, FX, STRUCTURED PRODUCTS) & DERIVATIVES (FUTURES, SWAPS, FORWARD CONTRACTS).
• CONDUCT CALCULATION AND ANALYSIS OF CASH, RISK AND ANALYTICS NUMBERS ACROSS VARIOUS SYSTEMS.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure a high degree of accuracy
• Strong initiative to follow up on outstanding issues- identify what needs to be done and take action
• Liaise with internal parties such as Portfolio Managers, Account Managers, Operations and Technology;
• Desired but not mandatory knowledge of cross systems like BlackRock Aladdin, CRD Compliance, CSTAR, BISAM, Axioma and internal accounting systems.
• Partner with the internal users to become an expert in their business, business processes, challenges, technology solutions and strategic objectives.
• Proactively IDENTIFIES AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT. Influences and persuades the business to make changes. Introduces innovative recommendations, factoring in customer needs, external approaches, and industry expertise and competitor analysis.

• Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills with a diverse group of associates and senior business leaders.
