The Talent Source has partnered with a much-loved brand in the search for a Director of Enterprise Architecture to provide the strategic direction and technical leadership to enable the company to achieve it's digital transformation and product innovation goals. 

This highly collaborative, high-impact role, will ensure the alignment of the business and technology strategy to enable the delivery of innovative solutions by working in close partnership with business leaders to help maintain their market-leading position.  The role will also lead talented Solutions Architects and Platform Engineers to leverage modern enterprise architecture frameworks and DevOps best practices.

Location: Remote until office operations normalize, then onsite in Minneapolis, MN, with some WFH flexibility on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities:

• Design solution prototypes for products and services across the enterprise.·
• Define and implement engineering and software architecture design to enable agile implementation of digital solutions.
• Mature enterprise architecture and DevOps best practices.
• Work with engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions using existing and emerging technologies; such as cloud-based solution architecture.
• Manage and provision solution infrastructure for both on-premise and cloud.· Define software and platform monitoring metrics and create reporting dashboards.·
• Ensure solution and operations reliability across all host platforms.·
• Analyze and optimize technical and business processes; participate in product line re-engineering sessions.·
• Manage solution implementations in partnership with internal, consulting, and offshore resources.·
• Provide effective enterprise architecture governance.·
• Work closely with the Information Security team to make enterprise data accessible with appropriate access controls.·
• Lead solution architecture strategy implementation projects, partnering closely with key business and technology stakeholders.·
• Manage and oversee the delivery of projects necessary to achieve the strategy with an eye towards business process redesign.·
• Define Business involvement at the start of each initiative with a specific focus on roles/responsibilities·
• Lead multiple project teams for the delivery of applications on time, within budget and to the customer’s satisfaction·
• Clearly define projects in terms of scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget Manage the capital and expense planning for development
• Initiate and implement new programs to improve departmental quality and productivity
  Collaborate with Software Development, Infrastructure, Security and Compliance teams to ensure data protection controls are in place.
• Provide leadership, coaching, motivation, evaluation and assistance to team members.
  Assist direct reports with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure that the crucial business initiatives are delivered.

Required Expertise:

10+ years’ experience in software and platform architecture with demonstrated leadership in process improvement and optimization

5+ years’ experience leading and motivating technical teams

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all levels of senior management and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to derive insights from data, communicate those insights to a diverse audience, and make recommendations for improvements

Hands-on experience architecting and implementing large scale software and cloud solutions

Experience designing and planning a cloud software architecture (AWS preferred)

Experience with DevOps processes and continuous improvement objectives

Experience with performance optimization

Experience creating and reviewing technical and user-focused documentation for enterprise solutions (architecture diagrams, network flows, data models, business glossaries, process and data flows, etc.)

Proven ability to maintain compliance with the regulatory frameworks around data privacy, and accessibility

Experience with PCI compliant systems, merchant processing systems, web, e-commerce desirable

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to established timeframes using Agile/Scrum methodologies

Ability to translate business directions and strategies into technology architectures; strong process development and re-design skills

Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to set the tone for a collaborative, high-functioning, high-trust team
