    The Talent Source is conducting a search for a Director of Information Technology to deliver modern, efficient, scalable and secure technology capabilities for one of the leading specialty infusion providers in the United States. Due to a recent investment from a leading PE Impact Fund, this IT Director position presents the opportunity to work in close collaboration with an incredible Leadership team at their Wayne, New Jersey HQ as the company prepares for a period of transformative growth. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Director of IT will be trusted by the leadership team to provide guidance relating to how technology can enable the effective operations of the Company and ultimately support the delivery of improved patient outcomes and support a dedicated team of nurses and pratitioners.

     

    The successful candidate will provide leadership across the technology spectrum to deliver best in class solutions that enable growth strategies including new markets, service offerings, and potential Acquisition activity. He or she will lead the technology organization, ensuring the Company’s data, applications, infrastructure, and security are aligned with the business strategy, and meet the expectations of our patients, providers, partners, and stakeholders. The Director of IT will drive innovation by bringing a digital first mind-set to the organization that enhances both provider and patient experience.

     

    On an ongoing basis, the Director of IT will identify emerging technologies and lead migration, integration, automation, and implementation projects that maximize productivity and efficiency, and drive measurable business results.

     

    The Director of IT will establish credibility with key stakeholders and instill a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement and work to ensure external vendor partners are leveraged to support the business strategy and technology roadmap.

     

    I. Key Responsibilities

    Strategy

    • Work closely with members of the executive leadership team to continually assess business requirements to ensure the technology roadmap supports the business strategy.
    • Ensure the delivery of stable, scalable, and secure IT services, digital platforms and capabilities including foundational EMR, Practice Management, CRM, Patient, Provider Portals, and productivity tools.
    • Create a modern Data, Analytics and BI roadmap to deliver actionable insights in a cost-effective manner.
    • Identify and operationalize emerging trends in digital technologies such as RPA and to create competitive advantage and leverage automation opportunities for the company.
    • Help determine capital investment parameters, priorities, and risks for corporate-wide IT initiatives to maximize the return on investment.

    Leadership

    • Build strong relationships with business leaders across the company, and develop a clear understanding of their issues, challenges, and opportunities.
    • Implement the most appropriate and effective IT organizational design to support and engage with business partners.
    • Ensure transparency and collaboration between the IT organization and its business partners.
    • Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that current and planned technical architecture, investments and solutions are aligned with company business objectives.
    • Prepare and monitor IT operational budgets that meet prevailing objectives and constraints.

    Team Development

    • Hire, develop, and retain a diverse, highly qualified team of technology professionals.
    • Foster a culture of efficiency, transparency and accountability in the IT organization.
    • Promote a “patient-first” mentality at all levels of the technology function.
    • Ensure that the organization has strong systems analysis and project management skills, and the ability to execute business-critical projects.

    IT Operations

    • Direct the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the IT, Network & Telecom infrastructure that supports the company’s operations and business applications.
    • Support the core business through technology capabilities that maximize performance, scale, reliability, and flexibility.
    • Ensure visible and robust delivery of IT services through use of service level agreements, metrics, and performance dashboards.
    • Lead the company’s cyber security efforts to safeguard assets and interests and oversee the integrity and security of systems.
    • Develop and implement protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of disasters or data loss, and facilitate IT security audits, training, and investigations.
    • Establish and enforce IT policies, processes, portfolio management, development standards and methodologies.
    • Monitor the industry for developments in IT operations; evaluate and implement relevant new tools and service management frameworks.
    • Create a nimble, efficient, and effective operational model that leverages the best available internal and external resources.
    • Develop external IT partners that can meet our current and future needs.

    • Demonstrated experience with as-a-service, cloud-based, and outsourced solutions through third party providers.

    IT Operations

    • Broad-based technology background with responsibility for solutions delivery in support of business growth.
    • Knowledge of a range of SaaS technology solutions; able to select and integrate the most appropriate technologies to support the business
    • Demonstrated ability to implement comprehensive approaches to cyber security and risk management.
    • Experience managing an effective IT governance framework across the spectrum of IT service delivery.
    • Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • A strong background in operational and capital finances, and IT budget development
    • Understands ITIL, Agile and other technology management frameworks, and how to scale and implement them.

    Professional Experience and Education

    • Ten + years of progressive experience in technology, including a minimum of five years in a leadership capacity.
    • Experience implementing and managing a broad range of applications and modern technology platforms (EHR, Practice Management, Corporate Applications, Digital Platforms, Web Portals, Email & Collaboration Tools) is required.
    • IT leadership experience in a mid-market healthcare provider organization
    • A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as computer science, engineering and/or information systems is required.
    • MCSE Desirable
