Our client, a major leader in Digital Transformation is seeking a Senior Android Developer for a 1-year assignment to work in either Dallas or NJ.  You will design, develop and roll out solutions using modern technologies and in this “hands-on” role you will work with the user interface, framework integration, back-end API definitions, and application architecture across our stack.

We are looking for someone with:

•             6+ years of software development experience building high-quality, responsive applications

•             4+ years  developing Android applications

•             In-depth understanding of Kotlin, Android versions 7-10, and Android Jetpack

•             Experience w/application modules, custom library creation

•             Strong experience in writing high quality code with full unit test coverage

•             Strong experience in defining and applying design standards, patterns, quality matrix depending on the solutions

•             Working experience with various CI/CD tools and/or traditional build systems (gradle, Fastlane, Jenkins, etc.)

•             Strong design skills applying Android frameworks, data structure, algorithm knowledge

•             Knowledge of Android persistence solutions like SQLDelight

•             Knowledge of Android networking using Retrofit and coroutines

•             Ability to measure and tune application performance using Android Studio Profiler

•             Ability to decompose business requirements into technical tasks and estimate accurately

•             Experience in Scrum/Agile

•             Strong verbal & written communication

NICE TO HAVES:

•             Experience with declarative UI libraries

•             Experience with Rx techniques, MVVM design pattern, dependency injection

•             Experience as team-lead or as mentor for other developers

•             Knowledge of Google Play Store review policies and app submission process

•             Android Accessibility and Localization

•             Understanding & experience in API management, Swagger

•             Experience in TDD/BDD

•             GraphQL experience

•             JavaScript experience (either Node.js or React)

•             Automated Android network testing, UI testing

•             Understanding of cloud infrastructure
