As part of a global firm, you will be looked to for your technology expertise in solution architecture and deep understanding of the issues and trends relevant to the energy trading industry today to realize groundbreaking technology solutions for clients. You will provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary, distributed teams guiding systems design, architecture, user interface, and integration and development processes and work closely with clients technology and management teams. You will also bring your experience to research and inform on enterprise-wide trends
On a daily basis you will be responsible to:
- Provide techno-functional leadership for the services provided for projects using ETRM products
- Lead the design, planning and implementation of complex IT solutions
- Provide leadership and set technical direction to project team of 30+ people
- Work closely with clients to establish technology strategy at an application level
- Translate the client’s business requirements into systems design
- Establish high, mid and micro level project plans
- Lead risk and estimation efforts
- Establish strategy for the account
- Establish competencies and knowledge management
- Support business development and proposal work
- Drive improvements of techno-functional solutions and workflows
- Manage performance issues / risks with ETRM product implementations
- Verify technical feasibility and validate solution options for the requirements
- Provide leadership for the services provided for projects using ETRM products; build competencies and manage knowledge for ETRM products
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert in ETRM product space and drive knowledge-management
Does the following describe your expertise?
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
- Good understanding of the full software development life cycle
- Experience delivering against tight timelines
- Proven leadership and managerial skills to manage client accounts and lead teams of 30+ people, throughout the project lifecycle
- Experience in providing technical leadership to large integration engagements through the lifecycle.
- Solid understanding of the energy / commodity industry from an end-to-end perspective
- Experience in both physical and financial trading environments preferred
- Experience in system configuration, customization/implementation, integration and testing;
- Understands development architecture and has had experience in leading teams to deliver successfully
- Experience implementing ETRM systems in cloud environments
- Experience on platforms like Java/J2EE or .NET is preferred
- Openness to travel and work at client offices
