    SUMMARY

     

    The Senior Systems Engineer shall have experience in the area of U.S. Navy Combat Systems in support of Land Based Test and Training Sites.  The position is not covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) Davis Bacon Act (DBA), or union.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    • Combat Systems Planning Design, Test, and Installation
    • Engineering and technical support services for facility and equipment design activities
    • Reading installation drawings, cable block diagrams, and configuration drawings
    • Network Switching – Planning and Design
    • Requirements and specifications development for hardware installs at Land Based Test and Training Sites
    • Navy Tactical and Simulation hardware procurement support by contacting vendors
    • Presentation development
    • Maintain hardware spreadsheets
    • Strong MS Office skills

     

     

    REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

     

    • Electrical Engineer preferred but not mandatory
    • Ten years of experience
    • Experience in or knowledge of Virginia Site missions preferred
    • Must have or be able to attain a DOD security clearance

     

     

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

     

    The Senior Systems Engineer shall have USN training and 10 or more years related experience.  Detailed knowledge of multiple subsystems and the ability to direct the preparation of facility systems designs, acquisition and logistics support, and change control.

May be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must have or be eligible for security clearances. May require occasional travel.
