    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As a Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for assisting the Accounting Supervisor with all aspects of day to day cashier duties for both client and office accounts.  They will ensure full compliance with Solicitors’ Accounts Rules (SAR) and VAT regulations. Other key responsibilities include:

    • Assisting the Accounting Supervisor with the review and development of operational efficiencies.
    • Reviewing and developing procedures to complete PAYE Settlement Agreement on a monthly basis.
    • Processing client account transactions including interest calculations and posts transactions to 3E.
    • Investigating client account balances and working with billing attorneys to clear those balances; handling and posting client receipts and payments all in line with SAR and firm policy.
    • Running daily reports to identify unpaid disbursements on client paid invoices and then processing payments of the same.

      ABOUT YOU

    • Well developed and professional interpersonal skills; an ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm.
    • The ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus.
    • Good communication skills both written and verbal; and a strong eye for detail

      And have:

    • An education to degree level (preferred)
    • Previous experience in a legal cashiers role
    • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
