    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    We are looking for an iOS developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. Primary focus of this role will be development of iOS applications and their integration with our web based back-end services. Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.

    KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

    Reports to: Director, Technology Services

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Design and build applications for the Apple iOS platform

    · The developer will lead the entire application lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support

    · Responsible for quality and performance of the apps

    · Responsible for code check-ins, maintainability and ongoing enhancements as needed

    · Developing quality and maintainable apps

    · Must be a team player and capable of translating high level user requirements into technical tasks

    IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

    The ideal candidate for the Mobile and Table Applications Developer at TGC will have:

    · 6 to 9 years of development of mobile & tablet apps

    · Proficient with Objective-C or Swift

    · Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.

    · Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

    · Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services

    · Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines

    · Experience with in-app purchasing with integration to payment processors is highly desirable

    · Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

    · Knack for benchmarking and optimization

    · Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN

    · Ideal candidate will also possess experience with Roku, iOS, Android and Kindle/Amazon apps

    · Experience in content space with audio/visual like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, MLB, etc., would be a huge plus
