Job Description
Position Summary: The Warehouse Mentor position reports directly to the Regional Manager with a strong partnership with the inventory control team. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of their home Warehouse as well as helping with overseeing all Store Warehouses and reporting in assigned market. Mentors will be held accountable to fulfill the Warehouse Manager duties of the home store as well as supporting operations like PI, reporting, receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within assigned store locations as well.
Requires up to 20% of Travel.
Essential Warehouse Mentor Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teach and train new and existing warehouse employees within the market The Tile Shop’s best practices, including the use of the Warehouse Daily Checklist and proper warehouse maintenance techniques.
• Provide daily support to all stores regarding warehouse reporting and training.
• Monitor the market’s daily reports and reach out to stores to resolve any current or outstanding issues.
• Monitor stores adjustments and assist in resolving inventory issues while looking for training opportunities on how to lower shrinkage and maintain a proper inventory.
• Weekly Market Report submission & communicate via email and phone calls to the market to report warehouse reporting conditions and current project assignments.
• Organize Microsoft Teams calls with market Warehouse Managers, Store Managers, Regional Manager and Inventory Control team.
• Communicate Quarterly bonus results; Build custom plan for individual store(s) to qualify for all five bonus metrics
• Work with Inventory Control and Regional Manager on communicating and executing company initiatives within the market.
• Pilot new initiatives for testing, provide positive and negative feedback top IC team, IT and/or regional manager
• Assist with the hiring process in region (often conducting 2nd interviews for other store managers)
• Assist Store Managers with Market Warehouse Performance Reviews if needed
• Partner with Regional and Store Managers to provide training support for all new and existing employees in Market
• Partner with Regional and Store Managers to host Quarterly Warehouse Trainings
• Partner with Regional Manager to devise a plan to audit market’s PI results, utilizing Regional, Mentor, Store Managers, Pro Market Managers, and/or Warehouse Managers
• Support Regional and Store Managers to drive The Tile Shop’s corporate initiatives
• Provide personnel/leadership support to all assigned stores
• Assist with and/or perform forklift training for new employees and/or refresher training for current employees
• Completion of end of pay period audit with assigned warehouses
• Completion of monthly LVT cycle count audit with assigned warehouses
• Perform all job responsibilities with the highest level of safety and observation to maintain a safe environment for all
• Market travel required
• Other duties as assigned

• Computer experience
• Previous warehouse experience
• Ability to operate a forklift properly and with the highest level of safety.
• Forklift certified or willing to be certified.
• Demonstrated history of dependability, commitment, and positive work attitude.
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation
