Who We Are: The Timothy School is the oldest non-profit approved private school in Pennsylvania devoted exclusively to teaching students with autism. Job Snap Shot: Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Human Resource Generalist provides comprehensive administrative support across HR functional areas including recruitment and onboarding, payroll processing, employee records maintenance, benefits and leave of absence administration, performance management administration, regulatory compliance, offboarding and unemployment compensation administration. Serves as the first point of contact for employee questions. May be assigned occasional HR projects and initiatives.
Hours/Shift: This is a 40 hour per week position, with a work schedule of Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a HR Generalist or similar role.
Knowledge of HR principles and practices including demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations.
Understanding and willingness to perform in all HR functional areas and implement organizational policies and practices.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail, a sense of urgency; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and ever-changing environment.
Ability to maintain high level confidentiality standards on matters of a sensitive and private nature.
Exercise good judgement, ability to work independently, take initiative and problem solve, be proactive with addressing matters and performing job responsibilities.
Strong computer skills including data entry, data processing, payroll and HRIS software.
Effective listening skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to develop strong relationships throughout the organization.
Prior experience processing payroll preferred.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or HRCI Professional in Human Resources (PHR) credentials desirable
Job Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to employees by responding and answering requests and questions.
Prepare employee correspondence relating to policies, practices, performance, corrective action, hiring, separations, promotions, transfers, etc.
Revise and develop job descriptions as positions change or are created.
Assist with performance review administration and tracking.
Assist with coordinating and tracking training on various workplace topics (i.e., Safety and Health, Harassment, etc.).
