Purchasing and Quality Control/Assurance individual will purchase job supplies and other materials necessary for projects for Tuckey Metal Fabricators as well as serve as Quality Control/Assurance for said projects.
Essential Job Functions include (but are not limited to): Purchasing Agent:
Initiate and/or receive purchase requisitions, log and assign requisition number, route to appropriate individual for approval.
Interface with Engineers, Project Development Coordinators, Operations Superintendent and Company President to ensure accurate quantities and correct supplies are purchased.
Research vendor/supplier prices, delivery dates, etc., through written bid or verbal quote.
Prepare bid summaries/evaluations, submit for approval.
Negotiate and place Purchase Order or Change Orders with selected vendors and prepare and maintain or update relevant documentation.
Quality Control/Assurance:
Ensure quality standards are met in accordance with SOP's and work instructions.
Conduct in-process and final inspections on all products.
Preferred experience should include 3 years of well-rounded experience in a Metal Fabrication Shop and Quality Assurance environment. Knowledge of procurement/vendor inspection techniques and procedures as well as ability to read and interpret specifications and blueprints as well as ability to troubleshoot drawings and specs.
Qualifications include (but are not limited to): Current Valid driver's license. High School Diploma or GED certification. Excellent computer skills. Experience with E2/JobBoss 2 a plus. Third-party QA training or certification a plus. Ability to work with a team.
