The Tutorverse is hiring an experienced TUTOR to help our students achieve on various entrance exams, such as the ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, SAT, and ACT.

• STARTING HOURLY RATE OF $80 TO $100: We appreciate the experience that you bring to the role, and we compensate you as such! Working evenings and weekends, our tutors have made as much as $4,700 in one month!
• CENTRALLY LOCATED FAMILIES IN MANHATTAN: Work with students throughout Manhattan in convenient locations!
• NO MICROMANAGEMENT: You're experienced and knowledgeable, so teach your content, your way! 
• HELP WITH THE BORING STUFF: We find the clients, help with scheduling, and enforce our cancellation policy all so you can focus on what you love to do - teach.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

WE'RE SEARCHING FOR ONLY THE MOST RELIABLE, ORGANIZED, AND EXPERIENCED TEST PREP TUTORS, WHO ARE PASSIONATE AND APPROACHABLE. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE IS:

• DYNAMIC AND ENGAGING: You should be able to deliver the content to your students in a dynamic and engaging manner.
• A CONTENT EXPERT: You are the expert! You should be familiar not only with the content, but with corresponding exams as well (APs, SAT IIs, etc.) You should know all the intricacies of different entrance exams, including test structure, question types, test-taking strategies, etc. 
• ABLE TO WORK WEEKDAYS AND/OR WEEKENDS: We get it—you have a lot of stuff to do! But in order to work with students, you should have either availability on weekday afternoons/evenings or weekends, and be able to commit to a full school year.
• EXPERIENCED AND HAS A BACHELOR'S DEGREE: We make a promise to our families that our tutors are truly experts in their respective fields, and we ask that you have a BACHELOR'S DEGREE FROM A 4-YEAR COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY, in addition to TWO YEARS OF POST-GRAD EXPERIENCE.

• prior middle school or high school teaching experience
