THE ROLE
The VOID is seeking a talented REGIONAL PEOPLE & CULTURE PARTNER (HRBP) to support multiple VEC (Virtual Entertainment Center) locations on the West Coast (Primarily California). The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator who enjoys working across multiple areas of HR, including employee relations, performance management, employment law compliance, succession planning, change management, and employee retention.
This individual will be working “in the weeds” the majority of the time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- You will partner with the Regional Manager and General Managers to effectively maximize talent throughout the employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, offboarding, coaching, counseling, development, and growth.
- You will assist in launching new locations and partner with the Regional Manager and General Manager to ensure a successful launch.
- You will partner with the HR team to implement HR strategies and programs to support operation and reinforce company culture.
- You will assist with annual HR programs such as compensation review, talent review, feedback, and goal setting.
- You will assist the Regional Manager and General Managers in the navigation of employee absenteeism and attrition challenges.
- You will assist in the coaching and development of the Regional Manager, General Managers, and Team Leads.
- You will build strong relationships and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- You will manage employee relations and conduct workplace investigations.
- You will ensure HR regulatory compliance is met; knowledge of CA employment law is a must.
- You will support multiple locations in multiple states.
- You will assist with HR policies and procedures creation, revision, and communication.
- You will assist with other HR projects and duties.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have a bachelor's degree in Business Management/Human Resources or related field.
- You have 3-5 years of hands on experience with expertise in multiple areas of HR, such as: employee relations, employment law compliance, employee onboarding, recruiting, etc.
- You are able to comfortably investigate and resolve employee relations issues in a timely manner.
- You quickly build relationships and gain business acumen to effectively support your teams.
- You demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and are comfortable interacting with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- You work autonomously, but are also a team-player, open to creative and constructive ideas.
- You are able to follow up and bring projects and assignments to conclusion.
- YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS ON EVENINGS OR WEEKENDS AS REQUIRED AND TRAVEL UP TO 30%-40% OF THE TIME. THIS POSITION WILL BE LOCATED IN GREATER LOS ANGELES AREA.
