Job Description

Forensic Accounting Consultants are responsible for assisting project teams in the analysis of assigned client projects supporting litigation cases, pending litigation, and insurance claims with a focus on commercial damages, construction and government contract matters.

What you will be doing:

• Conduct in-depth financial analyses including funds tracing and financial statement analyses. Perform complex economic analyses to assist the team with affirmative or rebuttal expert report opinions.
• Develop detailed written reports outlining the analyses performed, conclusions, and recommendations for leadership review
• Utilize data analysis techniques and software to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends in financial data
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific needs and work with the VERTEX team to provide expert advice, and offer tailored solutions to complex financial issues
• Perform quality control of work product for quality assurance
• Participate with team in client meetings and presentations

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field - must have specific accounting coursework
• 0-2 years of work experience in accounting or management consulting – litigation consulting experience highly preferred
• Proven experience in conducting complex financial investigations and forensic analysis.
• Relevant certifications (CPA, CFE, CMA) preferred
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, interpret and present financial data effectively and efficiently
• Excellent verbal and technical writing skills in English
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office technology, including Excel
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet client and litigation-driven deadlines
• Ability to work in professional services setting - fast-paced and time-tracked projects

The hiring range for this position is between 70-80K, Candidates with knowlegde or experience in the construction industry are prefeerred.
