    Job Description

    This is the perfect opportunity to start your career as an Accounting Consultant, supporting our growing Forensic Accounting practice.

    Accounting Consultants are responsible for assisting in the analysis and auditing of assigned projects and will gain the skills and experience to develop within the practice. 

    What you will be doing:

    • Provide support in the evaluation and analysis of construction claims, surety  and fidelity related projects
    • Assist in the audit and reconciliation of contractor and subcontractor invoices and payments for accuracy and validity
    • Assist in internal audit of project expenditures: surety and claims
    • Assist in the evaluation of contract damages and preparation of cost analyses
    • Analyze and report the potential surety payment and performance bond exposure
    • Assist with data gathering efforts including document review and supervision, and quality control of data entry activities
    • Analyze the financial condition of bonded and distressed contractors and ensure the timely reporting of all periodic financial information.
    • Assist with accounting, payroll and tax processing
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, Management or Finance, must have specific accounting coursework
    • 2+ years of experience in an accounting or auditing role
    • Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail
    • Working proficiency of Microsoft Excel, Access and Word required - Deltek-Vision accounting system a plus
    • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
    • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills 
    • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines 
    • Ability to work in a professional services setting - fast paced and time tracked to projects
