    THE ROLE

    THE VOID is a fast growing company, and we are seeking a VR Designer.  You will work with the creative team to develop features, write design and specification documents, and work directly with programmers and artists to drive your feature(s) through production.  If you are passionate about creating incredible consumer experiences, have strong design skills, and can clearly communicate complex designs to the team this may be the job for you!  Help us build the future of THE VOID together.

    • Collaborate with the creative team to design and document new features for Immersive VR experiences
    • Write design and specification documents to guide planning and development of new features
    • Ensure that all project stakeholders share the same vision and have reviewed and signed off on all specifications
    • Work with the development team to ensure that prototypes and the final product are consistent with the design
    • When design changes are necessary, handle the redesign and review process for all changes
    • Collaborate with Guest Services and Stage Construction to design for company-wide initiatives

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Associates degree or equivalent work experience in Interactive Design or Game Design
    • Three years design experience, or at least one full development cycle (pre-production through release)
    • Demonstrated proficiency in communicating complex ideas both verbally and via written documentation
    • Excellent analysis, problem solving, and iterative design skills
    • Adept at collaborating with team members of different disciplines to maintain solidarity across the team
    • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
    • Passion and enthusiasm for digital entertainment

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Working knowledge of one or more programming/scripting languages
    • Unity3D or Unreal Engine experience
