    FINANCIAL PLANNING PARAPLANNER

    SUMMARY OF POSITION

     

    Supports all AdvisorResource Center (ARC) functions within the organization. The ARC is adepartment that helps support financial advisors in an effort to increase theirbillable hours and save them valuable time. The ARC department encompasses allfinancial planning services, diagnostic tools, advanced planning support, andfirm wide training. This position is responsible for providing services toadvisors as supported by the ARC, with an emphasis on executing a dependableworkflow for the financial planning process. This is a support based position thatwill reinforce the ARC’s initiatives. We’re looking for someone with aninterest in financial services that is highly organized, able to learn quicklyand proficiently, communicates well, and is able to work both independently andon a team. This position is salaried and is not a sales position in anycapacity.

    JOBDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    FINANCIALPLANNING

    • Use eMoney financial planning software toenter client data, calculate solutions, creatively explore options to implementcomprehensive and situational plans in strict time constraints
    • Develop comprehensive financial plans in theareas of retirement planning, protection planning, cash flow and debtmanagement, investment strategies, college planning, tax planning, estate andbusiness planning
    • Create detailed action plans for clients to beable to follow to reach their financial goals
    • Communicate with clients as necessary toobtain financial data
    • Manage workflow between planners and financialplanning manager/director
    • Track financial planning process and prepare correspondence
    • Print, bind, and mail financial plans tocorresponding advisors
    • Train advisors/advisors assistants on financialplanning software usage and functionality

     

    ADVISORRESOURCE CENTER

    • Provide the following from various software:
    • Morningstar reports
    • Forefield and Backroom Technician educationpieces and calculators
    • Social Security Timing reports
    • Help maintain and manage all client financialwebsites (through eMoney software) which includes teaching clients how to useit
    • Help financial planning manager/directortrain, supervise, and develop additional financial planning and support staff
    • Conduct and facilitate training as needed atfirm-wide meetings and events to create awareness and excitement surroundingthe ARC and its services
    • Support department with any other initiativesas determined by the Financial Planning Manager and Director

     

    EMPLOYMENTREQUIREMENTS

    • Knowledge of eMoney financial planningsoftware a plus
    • Certified Financial Planner Designation (CFP®)preferred or in the process of obtaining
    • Bachelor’s Degree (emphasis in business and/orfinancial services a plus)
    • 1 year of experience in financial servicesindustry (either in a support position or as an advisor)
    • Highly organized, able to learn quickly, goodproblem solving skills, and proficiently and communicates well
    • Able to work both independently and on a team
