Global food manufacturer is currently in search of an experienced QUALITY MANAGER to join its team, focused on IQF / FROZEN FOOD MANUFACTURING lines within its state-of-the-art facility in MEMPHIS, TN. The QUALITY MANAGER will have responsibility for all QA / QC functions for product processed by these heavily-automated manufacturing lines.

Major responsibilities will include:

• Day-to-day leadership of QUALITY and FOOD SAFETY functions on the plant floor, including heavy interaction with production and engineering departments
• Responsibility for testing and analysis of finished product, including interface with onsite and third-party MICROBIOLOGY labs
• Direct supervision of SANITATION program and its associated operators and contractors
• Ongoing development of SOPs and SSOPs for IQF production lines
• Oversight of food safety and regulatory compliance to GFSI / SQF and HACCP standards
• Management of internal and external audits

This position will work primarily DAY SHIFT, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, but occasional flexibility may be needed based on the needs of the operation. This is a high profile position within the organization that will directly contribute to the overall success of the company’s IQF product lines.

Key requirements to be considered for this opportunity:

• You MUST HAVE a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field
• You MUST HAVE at least five (5) years of experience in quality and food safety WITHIN A FROZEN FOOD MANUFACTURING PLANT UTILIZING IQF PROCESSES
• You must have a proven track record of developing quality and food safety initiatives and documenting procedures
• SQF PRACTITIONER certification is strongly preferred - BRC or other GSFI certification would also be considered
• You must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer - SORRY, NO SPONSORSHIPS
