    Maintenance Technician:

    Repairs and maintains physical structures of retail properties by performing the following duties:

    Key Responsibilities:

    Monitors retail sites and reports all deficiencies to Property Manager or other management regarding contractors site conditions and hazards.

    Maintains grounds at retail properties for trash.

    Monitors and maintains buildings/sites, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.

    Interfaces with tenants regarding complaints about excessive noise, disorderly conduct, or misuse of property.

    Maintain and repair interior/exterior doors’ hardware and locks.

    Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions.

    Monitors and maintains exterior landscaping.

    Miscellaneous:

    Responds, as needed, to on-call emergencies 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.

    Notifies Facilities Manager or other Management Staff concerning need for major repairs.

    Performs other services or duties requested by the Property Managers, Facilities Manager or other Management Staff.

    Desired Education, Skills, and/or Qualifications:

    Position requires travel to the various properties.

    Assigned special projects supporting line of business transactions with coordination of documentation and delivery as requested.

    Creates utility by being proficient in all assigned areas enabling the ability to serve as back-up for other departmental personnel, when necessary.

    Stands prepared to support various errands and day to day organizational tasks as needed.

    Must demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and respect with candidates, team, and business partners.

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Department of Motor Vehicle Driver's License.

    10-hour OSHA Certification – General Industry.

    Physical Requirements:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by his job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
