    Job Summary

    As a Learning and Development Specialist (LDS) you will conduct, and administer programs that train employees and improve their skills and knowledge. The Learning and Development Specialist will collaborate with the VPHR and support key L&D initiatives for the enterprise through identification of Learning Plans, instructional design, workshop facilitation and administration. Primary accountabilities will include learning event planning and execution, communications with learners and key stakeholders, development of learning support materials and program marketing. They will work in close collaboration with L&D team members, HR Business Partners, and entities.

    What you will be doing

    Development

    Design, lead, and implement innovative talent development strategies and effective learning programs across the company.

    Lead the development of management training programs for WWG people managers.

    Develop relationships with key stakeholders to ensure learning and development initiatives align with both individual and team needs.

    Create a learning and development strategy, vision and action plan to close skill gaps contributing to the success of the organization.

    Develop assessments that measure learner outcomes including productivity.

    Provide constructive, actionable feedback and coaching to business leadership to support ongoing development.

    Facilitation

    Ownership or team participation in specific rollouts, launches, and programs.

    Blending partnership with Stakeholders to assess needs, creation of L&D strategy, development of curriculum, facilitation of Leadership workshops.

    Facilitate just in time training via “Wednesday Webinars” or appropriate methods including outside events.

    Analysis

    Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of learning and development programs to create a culture of continuous development.

    Provide input and outcome data on learning impact regularly in reports to management and partners.

    Other

    Maintains confidentiality of work-related issues, records and company information.

    Guide the organization in prioritizing and developing learning plans and curricula with available resources, in coordination with stakeholders, and aligning with organizational strategic priorities.

    Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to Design and implement training programs to drive employee performance for both new hires and ongoing talent development.

    Develop customized training content to support roles.

    Use appropriate tools and delivery methods to produce blended learning materials promoting learning through self-study, practice, performance support, socialization and knowledge sharing.

    Ensure thorough communication and follow up, including coaching and feedback discussions with Stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts and store leadership.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or equivalent combination of training sand experience.

    1 to 3 years of relevant experience.

    PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
