  • Responsibilities

    The Accounting Administrator/Clerk will be responsible for various Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting administrative and clerical tasks by performing the following duties:

    Essential Functions of the Job

    Process bank reconciliations, scan and file when complete.

    Daily journal entry input, scan and file when complete.

    Prepare and process Accounts Payable invoices for payment, including data entry and check cutting.

    Scanning of Accounts Payable documents.

    Receive rent checks and record in MRI, scan completed batches.

    Assist Controller and Property Manager with tenant delinquencies and reconciliations.

    Monitor tenant balances.

    Maintain tenant files in paper and digital form.

    Occasional errands for banking and post office requirements.

    Scan yearly 1099’s to Worksite.

    Proficient in all daily accounting functions.

    Act as back-up for other personnel in the department, when necessary.

    Assist others as needed and on special projects, upon request.

    Scanning and copying for Tax and Audit department, upon request.

    Education and/or Experience

    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Associates Degree required.

    A minimum of two (2) years of related experience and/or training.

    Authority and Supervisory Qualifications:

    This position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and serves at the discretion of the Vice President or delegate. The position carries out day-to-day accounting responsibilities in line with the established policies and statutes in consultation with the Accounts Payable Manager.
