    Job Description

    A DAY IN THE LIFE AT WONDERFUL:

    • Be a subject matter expert on Lease Accounting under ASC 842 and IFRS 16, acting as a resource and business partner to our various Business Units and their Accounting Teams
    • Perform lease accounting activities including but not limited to:
      • Review of significant contracts to ensure proper accounting application
      • Identify and resolve lease accounting technical issues
      • Review monthly Lease Accelerator reports prior to sending these to Business Units
      • Review quarterly Right of Use Asset and Lease Liability reconciliations
      • Prepare and review quarterly rollforward of all applicable accounts to assist in reporting
      • Review data abstraction for significant and complex agreements performed by Business Units
    • Collaborate with business partners to formalize lease accounting and reporting processes and controls
    • Perform technical accounting research and draft accounting memos
    • Support the financial reporting function on the review of lease disclosures for all standalone financial statements
    • Be a lease accounting software expert, aiding Business Unit Accounting teams, including but not limited to resolving lease software issues, providing training, creating SOPs and acting as the system's administrator, assisting with configuration updates and maintenance
    • Perform ad hoc analyses and reconciliations to support businesses around key business metrics and compliance projects (i.e. year-end audit, financial reporting and tax filings)

    YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO WONDERFUL:

    • Strong technical accounting and operational experience in the adoption and application of ASC 842
    • CPA accreditation; 4+ years of experience in public accounting
    • Experience using Lease Accelerator or a similar type of leasing system
    • Ability to think analytically, focus on the big picture, and drill into the detail and understand the impact
    • Understand how the business works and the upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by Finance
    • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to both technical and non-technical partners
    • Technical knowledge of GAAP/IFRS lease accounting and reporting requirements
    • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Focused, organized, results-oriented and self-driven to achieve goals; strong, dedicated work ethic
    • Demonstrated leadership and influence
    • BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics
    • Interest in working at a socially responsible food and beverage company
    • COVID vaccination will be required for this position unless candidate has a legally valid exemption
