SUPERHERO JOB SUMMARY**
The Wound Pros’ Clinical Education Specialist will serve as a combination role. They will function as a Registered Nurse (RN) for the assigned state and a Clinical Education Specialist for the Training and Education Department. The RN provides advanced wound care services, durable medical equipment, and other services to patients across various health care facilities. By leveraging the power of Artificial Intelligence, the RN is expected to exemplify our company's mission to heal wounds and prevent amputations in various healthcare settings. The Clinical Education Specialist provides ongoing support, training and education support to external and internal stakeholders as well as program growth and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Abide to the clinical department’s policies and procedures
- Meet the documentation requirements of Medical Records Department
- Become an expert at wound care consultant treating our patients chronic non-healing wounds, delivering excellent customer experiences
- Crush quarterly goals through consistency in providing tremendous care, administering biologic application where necessary for rapid healing rates
- Attend and participate in department (and related) meetings as invited
- Seek personal and leadership growth through participation in departmental activities
Sales
- Assist in Sales presentations as needed (Ex: Centerwell, Accent Care etc.)
- Work directly with Regional Sales Expert as needed for Sales presentations, in person meetings, etc
- Operate as primary clinical contact for partnered agencies (ie. phone tree)
- RITA Training/Demo Support as necessary
Develop and Deliver Educational Programs:
- Operates in an autonomous capacity to create comprehensive educational programs, including workshops, seminars, and training sessions, tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals.
- Have the capability to grow, develop, and refine company programs with the intent to expand clinical education to the level of world class, meeting national and international standards, also offering it in a charitable and/or global capacity.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and department heads to design and update educational content.
Clinical Training and Skill Development:
- Conduct hands-on training sessions to improve the clinical skills and competencies of nurses and other healthcare staff.
- Provide guidance on best practices, evidence-based protocols, and the latest industry standards.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Evaluate the clinical performance and competency of healthcare staff through assessments, skills checklists, and other evaluation tools.
- Provide constructive feedback and develop individualized improvement plans.
Continuing Education:
- Manage Continuing Education applications and record keeping
- Stay updated on current healthcare trends, regulations, and advancements to keep educational content relevant.
- Encourage and facilitate ongoing professional development among clinical staff.
- Obtain Wound Certification within one Year
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of educational activities, attendance, and performance evaluations.
- Generate reports to track the progress and effectiveness of educational programs.
- Participate in grant writing and grant implementation
- Participate in research and development
Quality Improvement:
- Collaborate with the quality improvement team to identify areas for improvement and develop training programs to address them.
Compliance and Regulation:
- Ensure that all educational programs align with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
RN must be a graduate of an approved Registered Nurse Program
Current active license to practice as an RN in the State
Must have prior Wound Care experience and/or Wound Care Certification
Full-time experience working in a skilled nursing facility is a plus
Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
Current BLS certification
Current malpractice insurance

- Proficient in the following: RITA/ WP APP, ZOOM, Google Sheets,Docs and Drive, etc.

- Set forth an approachable and respectful demeanor while responding to clinicians and other members of the team's questions, concerns, etc.
- Proficient with use of internet,research tools, etc to contribute to department goals
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Education preferred.
- Patient-centric approach
- Minimum of [5] years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in education, training, or clinical instruction.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and evidence-based care.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Dedication to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Extensive travel may be required to various healthcare facilities and locations for educational purposes.
COMPENSATION
- Total compensation potential of up to $100,000.00 per year, plus a tremendous opportunity for professional growth and advancement.
WORK LOCATION
- This hybrid Clinical Education Specialist role will require your flexibility to work from home and travel when necessary to carry out the duties of this role in the field.
