The Accountant of Finance will have responsibilities for an established list of staff accounting functions as determined by Finance Management. This position reports to the Controller.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (*=NON-ESSENTIAL TASKS):
- Responsible for various standard journal entries, balance sheet, income, and/or expense account reconciliations during month end financial close process.
- Responsible for month end accounting for periodicals.
- Prepares analytical variance analysis.
- Responsible for invoicing / bookkeeping functions for CRI and ITR customer base.
- Responsible for the preparation of month-end financial statements for CRI and ITR for management’s review.
- Assist with year-end audit functions, including preparation of year-end audit related work papers within area of job responsibilities.
- Preparation of various Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and graphical presentations.
- Track corporate charitable donations and compile year-to-date reports.
- Assist Finance Department personnel in the Record Retention Policy update and its on-going maintenance.
- Cross trained on various functions within the department as assigned to provide adequate back up for departmental functions, such as cash receipts, royalty and inventory.
* Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in corporate accounting
- Monthly financial statement preparation experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Experience with Quickbooks, Microsoft Dynamics and Great Plains preferred
EDUCATION:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required
