    The Fundraising (Corporate Partnerships & Culinary Events) intern is responsible for advancing the mission of Share Our Strength, to end childhood hunger in America, by providing support to the Corporate Partnerships, Dine, and Culinary teams. Projects will include helping to steward and renew key corporate partners, secure new ones, and manage events. Partnerships may be of a wide variety including cause-related marketing promotions, sponsorships, foundation partnerships, and programmatic support.

     

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    Provide research and administrative support for the teams including, but not limited to:

    • Assist with key Corporate and Dine partnerships by providing support with partnership execution, recapping calls/meetings and creating social media posts.
    • Contribute to comparative event research and creation of partner marketing resources for Taste of the Nation events.
    • Support for internal briefings and meetings, including researching and preparing documents for executive briefings and recapping team meetings.
    • Prospect research for new business outreach.
    • Participate in team brainstorm sessions to develop concepts for partner activations.
    • Mailings for key Corporate and Dine partners and events.
    • Other tasks and day-to-day duties as assigned.
    • Research and present a final project toward the end of the internship

    Required Skills

     

    • College Junior or Senior or recent graduate.
    • Organized, self-motivated and flexible
    • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently
    • Ability to work well with multiple and diverse groups of people
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills required
    • Excellent and proven research skills
    • Interest in non-profits, fundraising, hunger, nutrition, sales, marketing, and/or children
    • Available to work 40 hours per week
    • Experience with Raisers Edge preferred
    • Excellent computer skills, especially in Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
