    DLH is currently seeking a Lead Data Analyst that provides a pivotal role in working on projects requiring data analytics and research. The successful candidate will have the skills and experience required to lead complex data projects, creating, identifying trends, performing reliable qualitative and quantitative analyses, and helping to develop meaningful dashboards based on BI solutions and as defined by the client. The qualified candidate will effectively communicate with project stakeholders to identify meaningful visualizations of data. The successful candidate will help create and provide guidance on best practices in building various reports, dashboards, and manipulating data models.

    DUTIES: 

    This role will include but not limited to, the following job functions:

    • Work with the Business Analyst to collect and accurately document requirements from Project stakeholders
    • Identify and perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis
    • Develop dashboard and reports using BI/reporting Solutions using existing data sets
    • Understand dashboard tool logical models and assist with the development of dashboard applications
    • Write code both independently and with the support of project team members using best practices
    • Create and present data in a way that tells the business story
    • Create presentations using existing data and information utilizing PowerPoint / Visio or other similar tools for the client and project managers
    • Develop strategic working relationships with the client and other stakeholders
    • Provide effective dashboard training to reporting end-users and documentation of solutions and technical decisions
    • Analytics and Reporting: Provide leadership to support DLH data reporting as well as ownership of various ad-hoc analysis, scorecards, and KPI generation processes
    • Supports the project by providing subject matter expertise in data, reporting, and analysis
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills

    • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of learning new technologies quickly
    • Ability to visualize dashboards and reports, while working with large datasets
    • Experience working with BI tools like SpotFire, Microsoft Power BI or Tableau BI.
    • Experience working with reporting tools like Microsoft SSIS, Crystal Reports, IBM Cognos or JasperSoft.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines

    Required Experience

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor Degree’s or higher in Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a research or business environment
    • Proficiency in SQL, relational databases
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing basic quantitative and qualitative analysis
    • Experience in preparing data and information and contributing to reports and presentations with tight delivery deadlines
    • Experience with interacting with a variety of stakeholders on all levels
