Job Description
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team!
Responsibilities :
Daily Sales and cash reconciliation for restaurants/nightclubs
Reconciliations of 3rd party delivery platforms (Postmates/UberEats)
Audit and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including cash in transit, customer deposits, accounts receivable
Point of Sale audit and reconciliation
House Account reconciliation for members dues & subscriptions
Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
Develop and analyze financial reporting
Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
Report analysis and findings to management team
Qualifications :
Prior experience in hospitality accounting (hotels/bars/restaurants)
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
Detail and deadline-oriented
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and intercompany billing
Strong working knowledge of excel
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team setting
About Us:
We own and operate restaurants and nightclubs throughout the Los Angeles area and are looking for a skilled staff accountant to join our team! We are a mid-sized accounting team that works very closely with each other and our partners in Operations. As we are growing rapidly, there is room for learning and growth! This position is located in West Hollywood and in person Monday-Thursday with an optional remote day on Fridays.
