    Job Description

    HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER – DIRECTOR OF HR – START UP – FOOD RETAIL INDUSTRY

    United Staffing Solutions, a leader in staffing, is representing a new quick delivery grocery network seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager. This is a direct hire/permanent position beginning ASAP.

    The schedule is Mon-Fri with an 8 hour shift. Salary is $90,000.

    RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) MANAGER:

    • Organizing and managing an active hiring process for different departments in a fast-growing start-up company.
    • Planning and implementing the development of the company’s HR functions and staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training HR employees.
    • Communicating with contracted staffing agencies and researching other ways to hire.
    • Screening and initial interview to select candidates for further evaluation by department heads.
    • Planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
    • Updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
    • Working closely with the company’s management and establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
    • Establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
    • Employee relations and coaching managers in employee relations
    • Researching, developing, implementing, and directing employee benefits programs and informing employees of benefits
    • Ensuring legal compliance with federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings, etc.
    • Retaining historical HR records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.

    REQUIREMENTS FOR THE HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) MANAGER:

    • 3+ years in a Human Resources (HR) management role.
    • Expertise in policy design, benefits, compensation, compliance, and Human Resources data management.
    • Exceptional written and verbal/nonverbal skills, along with finely tuned interpersonal skills and professional judgment.
    • Analytical mindset and ability to resolve atypical situations.
    • Easygoing with ability to motivate co-workers.
    • Basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
    • Experience and knowledge in the industry of retail food sales is a major plus.
